The day is finally here! Undead Folk is now available wherever books are sold. It’s so incredible how the journey’s of different books can be so different. This one has had a lightning fast escalation of interest from various people who have resonated with its back cover blurb or its cover. Early readers have given it incredible reviews so far. And for a very short time, it reached a number one selling spot in LGBTQ+ horror on Amazon. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a book reach a number one spot.
If you missed it, here is the synopsis:
“Beyond the smoke-choked skies of an apocalyptic United States, a woman travels the desolate railroad tracks of a small town in search of revenge and a quiet place to settle. Her only companion is an undead fox: animated with backwoods herbal magic and the soul of a middle-aged father who died before the world fell into darkness.
Undead Folk is a short, harrowing tale of sacrifice, loss, and damnation.”
Here’s what some amazing authors had to say about it for advance praise:
“A beautiful, powerful and deeply original rendering of grief…” - Ross Jeffery, Bram Stoker Award-nominated author of I Died Too, But They Haven’t Buried Me Yet and The Devil’s Pocketbook
“Katherine Silva is quickly becoming a favorite author. With gut-wrenching situations, heartbreaking emotion, dynamic characters and concepts, Silva quickly engages and captivates her reader, with every word bled onto the pages of her stories.” - Candace Nola, author of Desperate Wishes
“Undead Folk is a unique exploration of grief and revenge told against a hauntingly beautiful post-apocalyptic backdrop. A short and powerful tale of loss, and the desolation and desperation that follows.” - Red Lagoe, author of In Excess of Dark
